I develop and implement efficient numerical methods for the solution of challenging problems in Science and Engineering. For this, I write scientific software in Python, C++ and Fortran. My research on bespoke multigrid algorithms allows the Met Office to make faster and more accurate climate- and weather-forecasts. Originally trained as a theoretical physicist, I enjoy solving interdisciplinary problems. For this I work with colleagues from maths, other departments and external organisations.
